Otsu-bukuro is a temae belonging to the second group of eight temae in Konarai (see kyojo). Like Tsutsumi-bukusa the teishu uses a natsume, usually a shinnuri chu natsume, instead of a chaire to prepare koicha. In this temae the natsume is wrapped in an Otsu-bukuro, a small silk crepe (called chirimen) bag, instead of the host's fukusa. The Otsu-bukuro is usually purple, brown, or white.

Inspired by the linen bags that were used to carry rice from the Otsu province to Kyoto, the first Otsu-bukuro was made by Sen Rikyu's wife Soon.
